If you're reading this and you feel behind, pause. Seriously. Put the phone face down for a second.
Today (July 18th) I’m writing from a tiny table by the window, the kind that wobbles if you lean on it. I’ve been “busy” all week and somehow still feel like I didn’t do enough. Same old story. But here’s the thing I’m trying to learn: rest is not a reward you earn by suffering.
I hope you took at least one slow morning. The kind where you drink something warm and you don’t rush to fill the silence. I hope you said no to one extra commitment. I hope you didn’t apologize for it.
If you’re in the middle of that familiar spiral—“I should be doing more”—remember what actually moves your life forward: showing up, consistently, without burning yourself down.
Go outside if you can. Look at the sky like it’s part of your job. Breathe. Then do the next small, obvious thing.
